Anita Loos (source) Joseph Fields (playwright) Vintage original script for Broadway stage musical adaptation of novel by Anita Loos, USA. Quarto, brad bound, limp wrappers with typed label affixed to front cover, 10,2,16,21,3,6,2,22,14,3,11,13,5 pp., some light wear to edges of wrappers and a few pages slightly frayed at margins, there are a few scattered revisions to text in an unknown hand, generally VERY GOOD+ in VERY GOOD wrappers.

Anita Loos and Joseph Fields wrote the book (adapted from the novel by Loos) for this very successful Broadway musical, with music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Leo Robin. Carol Channing had a career-making role in the lead part of Lorelei Lee — a role which Marilyn Monroe made her own in the 1953 Howard Hawks film adaptation of this musical play.
