Absolutely stunning and dramatic portrait of Joan Crawford. Wearing a simple dress and minimal make-up, this is an extraordinary study of her taken by Clarence Sinclair Bull for her role of cabaret performer turned reformed Salvation Army worker. Photograph has the Clarence Sinclair Bull blind-stamp near the bottom right corner edge. His ink stamp including the hand written pencil photo number is on the verso as is the stamp “JOAN CRAWFORD METRO GOLDWYN MAYER.” There is a minor crease at the bottom left edge and a minor crease at the bottom right corner.
