Monroe was fast becoming a star and she was promised the lead in THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH if she would participate in this film to boost its box office. The role was written in for her and she was assigned several songs originally intended for Merman, including HEATWAVE. Travilla designed this gown for Monroe for the film’s finale. Still is coded 904-137x. Some creasing at the top left edge and corner. NEAR FINE.
