Vintage original 9 x 12” (22 x 30 cm.), pictorial wrappers, 20 pages, USA. Lon Chaney, William Haines, Eleanor Boardman, Carmel Myers, dir: George W. Hill, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. In this story, Lon Chaney played a gruff Marine sergeant who vies with William Haines for the attentions of Nurse Eleanor Boardman. The film made a star of William Haines and was mostly filmed on location in San Diego. The book is illustrated with numerous scene photos and portraits of the stars and film personnel, including director George Hill and MGM executive Louis B. Mayer. Clear tape has been used to re-inforce the inside front and back cover. There is minor creasing at the top right corner on the cover. Some spine wear. NEAR FINE.
