TOPPER (1937) Lobby card

Sold

Vintage original 11 x 14″ (28 x 35 cm.) title lobby card, USA Constance Bennett, Cary Grant, Roland Young, Billie Burke, Alan Mowbray, Eugene Pallette, dir: Norman Z. McLeod; Hal Roach/MGM. Classic screwball comedy about a deceased couple who return to earth as ghosts for trickery upon a stuffy friend of theirs.
Presented on the card is a wonderful portrait of Cary Grant and Constance Bennett as the ghosts wreaking havoc upon Roland Young but a caricature drawing of them as well, represented as ghosts. The card captures the light-heartedness of the story, one of the best remembered films of the 1930s.
Card has been cleaned and a few areas professionally addressed, including filling-in of pinholes at the four corners and along the top blank white margin, creasing under the “Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer” name, two edge tears just below that, one edge tear at the mid bottom margin. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer ink stamp for use in Europe on verso. NEAR FINE.
