Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant made one of the most charismatic couples in movie history when they joined their talents for four comedy classics. While Grant’s star was always at the top, Hepburn suffered a short term setback when she was labeled box office poison in 1938 (this and their 1938 BRINGING UP BABY fared poorly).

Hepburn went to Broadway, had a hit with THE PHILADELPHIA STORY, bought the film rights and, with Grant as co-star, re-cemented her place in Hollywood forever. Today, HOLIDAY is considered one of the top films of the screwball comedy genre.
