[Los Angeles]: RKO Pictures, [1943]. Vintage original 10 1/2 x 13 1/2″ (26 x 34 cm.) black-and-white double weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo. Minor crease at bottom right corner, just about fine.

Near the end of their relationship and just prior to her return to Mexico, Orson Welles asked del Río to appear in the unglamorous role of Josette Martel, her main costume a trench coat. However, to publicize the film she wore this beautiful black ensemble which the original paper blurb on the verso describes accessories as a black felt beanie and shoes and handbag of black suede.
