IRENE DUNNE (1930) Hand-colored fashion image

$300.00

Los Angeles: [RKO, 1930]. Vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) hand- colored double weight matte finish photo. Minor creases at lower corners. About fine.

Extremely unusual publicity fashion image used to promote Irene Dunne’s appearance in her very first film LEATHERNECKING. Based on the Rodgers and Hart Broadway musical PRESENT ARMS, the film, except for some Vitaphone sound disks, was believed to have been lost until recently. Unusual because the photo includes the original publicity blurb on the verso giving information about the Ermine coat which Irene Dunne is modeling including manufacturer, model number and costs.
