  • LE BONHEUR [HAPPINESS] (1965)  Pressbook, 4to, 4 pp., with six (6) 5 x 7″ (13 x 18 cm.) photos. Jean-Claude Druot, Claire Druot, Marie-France Boyer, dir: Agnès Varda; Columbia. Film in a lustrous, almost dreamlike color, about a young working class married couple where the man’s secret affair with another woman leads to his wife’s suicide. Time Out Film Guide (2000): “Varda is trying to explore on film the kind of romantic areas that have so often… been the exclusive province of male film directors.”
  • LES CRÉATURES [THE CREATURES] (1968) Pressbook, 4to, 4 pp. Catherine Deneuve, Michel Piccoli, dir: Agnès Varda; Parc Film. “French-Swedish 1966 film by Agnès Varda that recounts a story of a couple who have just moved to a new town and been in a car accident. The wife, Mylène Piccoli, has lost her voice in the accident and communicates through writing. The husband, Edgar Piccoli, is a science fiction writer working to produce his next book.” (Wikipedia)

Time Out Film Guide (2000): “Attempts to analyze the media of fringe Hollywood in June ’68.” The film has Warhol superstar Viva along with Rado and Ragni (the creators of HAIR), experimental film director Shirley Clarke, the attempted murder of Andy Warhol, and the very real assassination of Robert Kennedy.
  • L’UNE CHANTE, L’AUTRE PAS (1977) Promotional book, pictorial wrappers, quarto, 64 pp. Therese Liotard, Valerie Mairesse, dir: Agnès Varda. “The intertwined lives of two women in 1970s France, set against the progress of the women’s movement in which Agnès Varda was involved. Pomme and Suzanne meet when Pomme helps Suzanne obtain an abortion after a third pregnancy which she cannot afford. They lose contact but meet again ten years later.
