Entartete Kunst (Degenerate Art) was a notorious Third Reich art exhibit which opened in Munich in the White Hall of the police headquarters on Neuhauserstrasse in 1936 and then traveled, starting in July 1937, through various German cities.

The exhibit was designed as a frontal attack on all modernist art, with frequent denunciations of Jewish and Communist influences on the allegedly pure “Aryan” artistic tradition.

There is a subsequent reprinting of this book with text and a 1937 date on the back outer wrapper; since our copy lacks these points, we believe it to be a printing done for the original 1936 exhibit.
