PICKUP (1951) Lobby card

Sold

Vintage original 11 x 14″ (28 x 35 cm.) title lobby card, USA. Hugo Haas Beverly Michaels, Allan Nixon, Howland Chamberlain, dir: Hugo Haas; Columbia. Lurid low-budget story, now considered to have camp value about an older man falling for a younger woman who plans to kill him once they are married. It was director Haas’ discovery Beverly Michaels who made her very nasty character entertaining. Czech-born Haas was an auteur of the low budget film of the time.

Dime story graphic novel depiction on this card. There are several pinholes at each of the four corners and along the blank top white margin. The top edge of the card exhibits creasing and handling as does the right edge and right side which includes a vertical crease down the card. Some old brown tape on verso reinforces pinholes. VERY GOOD.
