Curtis Harrington’s first feature film, a small-budget independent movie. Dennis Hopper plays a sailor on shore leave; he meets Lawson, who portrays a mermaid in a sideshow (in a then very seedy Venice, California) but who believes that she actually is a descendant of centuries of other mermaids, and that she is doomed. This film is a marvelous time capsule of a lost Los Angeles, and a classic of horror. This is the very uncommon style B version of the poster. It is in superb condition. There is a tiny bit of writing in ink on the back that does not show through, and the tiniest amount of creasing and minute handling; it would be extremely difficult to find a better example of this poster ever, JUST ABOUT FINE.
