Bergman’s last theatrical feature, a film considered by many as one of his greatest works—an autobiographical fiction, based on the unhappy childhood that he and his sister experienced after their father died, and their mother then married an extremely strict and unloving Lutheran pastor.

This poster is for the film’s original Swedish release. Although another Swedish poster (an advance poster, lacking credits, and only showing the two children) turns up fairly often, this poster, with its montage of different scenes, including a group photo of the main cast, is in fact very scarce. On linen, with various edge and fold tears neatly mended, VERY GOOD.
