BETTE DAVIS / MARKED WOMAN (1937) Pressbook

Sold

Vintage original 17 x 11″ (43 x 28 cm.) pressbook, USA; Folio, 20 pp., with an additional “ADVERTISING SECTION” laid-in loosely, 22 x 17″ (56 x 43 cm.), 6 pp. Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, dir: Lloyd Bacon, Michael Curtiz (uncredited). Classic gangster film, with Bette Davis as a supposed “hostess at a clip joint” who is eventually persuaded by the district attorney (Bogart) to testify against her murderous gangster boss.

This is a quite rare book, and to find it complete — with no ads cut-out, and with its gigantic advertising supplement as well — is quite a treat. Folded as issued, pictorial wrappers, with some signs of light wear along spine and at edges, VERY GOOD.
