The Harlem Globetrotters are a renowned American exhibition basketball team known for blending athleticism, theater, entertainment and comedy in their performances. Throughout their history, they have played over 26,000 exhibition games across 124 countries and territories, often facing intentionally less competitive teams like the Washington Generals (1953-1995, 2015-present) and the New York Nationals (1995-2015). Their signature tune is Brother Bones’ whistled rendition of “Sweet Georgia Brown”, and their mascot is an anthropomorphic globe named “Globie”. (Wikipedia)
