Eva Perón (aka Evita), was an Argentine politician, activist, actress and philanthropist who served as First Lady of Argentina from June 1946 until her death in July 1952, as the wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. She was a powerful political figure who championed the poor and working class, and a champion of women’s rights, notably helping women gain the right to vote. (Wikipedia)

The photos in this group appear to be of her attending events during her first year as First Lady and during her last year, being honored at ceremonies. There is also a photo of a coffin being carried through a crowd honoring her in death.
