Vintage original 17 x 11″ (42 x 27 cm) deluxe herald, two sided, USA. Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, Ida Lupino, Alan Marshall, George Zucco. dir: Alfred L. Werker; Twentieth Century Fox. Horizontal fold as it was handed to theatregoers. Overall even tanning with age. Three small right margin pinholes and a few tiny edge tears, overall about fine.

In this mystery thriller, Holmes was up against professor Moriarty (Zucco) who has a grand scheme to steal the crown jewels from the Tower of London. This was the second of the 14 films in which Rathbone played Arthur Conan Doyle’s fictional consulting detective Holmes. Rathbone had previously been so typecast as a villain that he especially loved the chance to play this great character.

This deluxe oversized two sided theatre herald is done in a newspaper style format. There are 8 black and white photos featuring stars Rathbone, Lupino, Marshall and Zucco.
