GO WEST (1940) Marx Bros stamped portrait by Clarence Bull

Sold

Vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, USA. Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, Harpo Marx, John Carroll, Diana Lewis, dir: Edward Buzzell; MGM. This story had the three Marx Brothers (this time as shady characters S. S. Quentin, Joe and Rusty) in the Wild West, helping out a young man who is attempting to settle a family feud. They run into crooks along the way. The climatic train chase sequence made it a big winner.

They share publicity still S-1120-123 with Diana Lewis. It is stamped on the verso with Clarence Bull’s MGM photographer ink stamp. Photo is creased diagonally in two places at center and there is a hard crease near the bottom right corner, NEAR VERY GOOD.
