JOHN CAGE 75TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Pictorial stiff wrappers, 4 pp., FINE.

A program for this event, held on September 5, 1987, at the Los Angeles Festival. This booklet commemorating Cage’s 75th birthday is a very scarce one. OCLC only records four known copies of it. At Cage’s suggestion, this program booklet contains remarks from various friends and colleagues (among them Paul Zukovsky, Morton Feldman, and Minna Lederman) “laid out like a music score with different typefaces for each person.” Boldly autographed by Cage in red ink on the title page to an individual named Ben Katting.
