A Dog’s Life [Tin Tin]. [Los Angeles]: Amblin Entertainment, 1985. Vintage original film script, 11 x 8 1/2″ (29 x 22 cm), 107 pp., brad bound, printed Amblin Entertainment wrappers with moderate creasing and a couple of tears near spine, with “TINTIN” written on spine. Credited to screenwriter Melissa Mathison as “FIRST DRAFT-REVISED” and dated February 1, 1985, each page has red watermark. Post-it note attached to front wrapper reads “KATHY KENNEDY/TIN TIN” (Kennedy was at the time co-founder with Steven Spielberg of Amblin Entertainment). Near fine in very good+ wrappers.

Melissa Mathison had recently written the screenplay for Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. This film never got made, and it was only three decades later that Spielberg got to make The Adventures of Tintin, released in 2011. Because this script was one of a small number printed only for internal use at Amblin, it is an unusually scarce one.
