McLeod; Paramount. One of W. C. Fields’ finest and best remembered film comedies. The story of a man who seemingly cannot get ahead in life. Hounded by his wife, general store owner Harold Bisonette buys an orange grove ranch only to find it withering away. Luck comes when a land developer wants the property. As the bewildered Harold, Fields poses with his faithful friend in photo 1521-77. The 1934 Paramount copyright is at the bottom left edge. Bottom edge appears to be trimmed and there is a handwritten date of 12-25-46 in pen at the right bottom, which is the date of Field’s death at 66. Trimmed at bottom edge. NEAR FINE.
