Diana Ross’ first dramatic role in a film, here portraying Billie Holiday, in this loose adaptation of Holiday’s memoir of the same name. Laid in is a typed signed letter from producer Jay Weston to Larry Auerbach at William Morris Agency, along with a one-page typed plot summary and a reader’s criticism. Ross received an Oscar nomination for her performance.
