Ava Gardner‘s first year in Hollywood was spent training how to walk, talk and the other arts of deportment while playing a slew of walk-on parts. Between the MGM shoots, photographers took her to the beach to pose for pin-ups. This image is from one of Ava’s first portrait sessions and one of her most famous sittings.
