[Los Angeles]: Columbia Pictures, [1930]. Vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white glossy silver gelatin photo. Shows signs of use and age: all four corners are chipped and there is a small tear to the blank white margin at center top. There are also creases at the corners, very good-.

Pre-Code film, and the first teaming of director Frank Capra with Barbara Stanwyck (who would become his favorite actress to work with). The story of a party girl who becomes the artist model for the son of a wealthy businessman had a story which could not be presented in the same way after 1934 and the Production Code. The family objects to what they consider an illicit relationship.

Seen here in photo coded c-11-138 are Stanwyck with Ralph Graves.
