[New York]: Np, 1965. Vintage original 10 x 8″ (25 x 20 cm.) black-and-white photo. Stamp on back of photographer Julie Snow (partly obscured by photo agency sticker). With holograph notation on verso (possibly in Snow’s hand): “Dylan – Newport 1965 – performance in which crowd booed”.

Bob Dylan‘s appearance at the Newport Folk Festival shocked the audience of folkies when he went electric. Though the audience was furious with him, this was a pivotal moment in the history of music.
