BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S (1961) Audrey Hepburn sings “Moon River”

[Los Angeles: Paramount Pictures, 1961]. Vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo. Fine.

Henry Mancini wrote his classic song “Moon River” specifically for Audrey Hepburn, and it fit her range perfectly. Executives wanted to cut the song from the film and Hepburn stood up at the screening and was adamant, saying “Over my dead body.” The song stayed and Mancini said the interpretation was his favorite.

Still is coded #10372/43 and the Paramount copyright information is included at the bottom margin.
