At Rick’s Café Americain, owner Rick (Humphrey Bogart) asks the club’s pianist Sam (Dooley Wilson) to “play it, Sam” — referring to the theme song “As Time Goes By”, which leads into the montage sequence depicting Rick’s relationship with Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman).
