Constance Bennett enjoyed her first year of major stardom by appearing in eight films in 1925, all for different studios. The highlight was being cast at the newly formed Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in the film which became the prototype for the storyline of three girls and the different paths they take. It became Ziegfeld Girl in 1941 and How to Marry a Millionaire in 1953, with many a variant between and after. Sally O’Neil and Joan Crawford made the trio with her.
