[Los Angeles]: Warner Brothers, 1953. Set of eight (8) vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white glossy silver gelatin photos. One is date stamped, there is significant wear to two photos, the rest have just slight wear. Overall near fine.

When a telephone operator gets drunk at the Blue Gardenia club and her pin-up photographer date takes her home to seduce her, she hits him and wakes up the next morning learning that he died the night before. She cannot remember what happened, but the police find her handkerchief and blue gardenia from the club.

Filmed in an efficient twenty days, Fritz Lang and his cinematographer Nicholas Musuraca invented what became a revolutionary device which allowed for tracking shots into close-ups of the actors rather than the familiar usage of cutting to a close-up. Silver, Ward, Ursini, Porfirio, pp. 52-3.
