Sold

[Los Angeles]: United Artists, 1950. Vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white glossy silver gelatin photo. Near fine.

An action moment from the groundbreaking noir escapade based on the exploits of Bonnie and Clyde. Outlaws, played by Peggy Cummins and John Dall, exit a bank before embarking on a getaway, filmed in an open car without process shots and all in one continuous shot. Filmed on a very low budget, director Joseph M. Lewis invented filming techniques to save money which today have become standard in realistic filmmaking. Deadly is the Female was the original title (with a script by blacklisted writer Dalton Trumbo) before being changed to Gun Crazy.

Photo is coded 162-4.
