Katharine Hepburn played a musician who falls in love with and marries a philandering orchestra conductor (Charles Boyer) in this romantic tale. Bernard Newman designed her gowns (and most likely this one) for the film. Hepburn displays her sophisticated beauty in this series of portrait images, Ernest Bachrach having captured some of the finest portraits of her.
