Iconic portrait of Louise Brooks at the height of her days on Broadway just as she was signed to a Paramount film contract. She is captured by theatrical portrait photographer M. I. Boris, known for photographing against abstract patterned backgrounds. His name appears below Brooks’ shoulder.

There is her credit and the Paramount copyright information printed on the verso as well as French publisher’s information and sticker, and a sticker bearing her name.
