Type on verso describes her gown. Publicity portrait for her appearance in BEST FOOT FORWARD. Signing Lucille Ball to a contract in 1943, after years of rising up the ranks at RKO, MGM never really found a fit for Lucy, so she made guest appearances in films like this, based on the popular Broadway show.  She played herself, movie star Lucille Ball.  Photographer’s stamp not present, but likely by Clarence Bull. Minor soiling and edge wear.
