Once her star had risen, Twentieth Century Fox gave Marilyn Monroe some of the best directors in the business to work with. They also gave her some fine scripts in several genres, and her portfolio of work is outstanding. River of No Return is a Western saga in Technicolor, directed by Otto Preminger and filmed on location.

As saloon singer Kay Weston, Monroe donned several period showgirl costumes, posing for publicity in this costume designed for her by Charles Le Maire. It could be seen briefly in the film during a scene in her dressing room. Film credits on the bottom blank white margin.
