Los Angeles: Columbia Pictures, [1934]. Vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin photo. Slight crease at lower left corner. About fine.
Marion Marsh made a splash in some impressive pre-Code films at Warner Brothers and RKO, all before the age of 20, including SVENGALI, UNDER 18 and the film version of THE CHURCH MOUSE titled BEAUTY AND THE BOSS.
Her career waned with the advent of the production code and, in an attempt to revive her popularity, she signed with Columbia in 1934, at which time Irving Lippman (as stamped on verso) took this portrait.
