Sidney Poitier made his screen debut in this Joseph Mankiewicz film about a young African American doctor who is asked to treat a badly wounded white racist. When the patient dies, his even more vicious brother attempts to provoke a race war.
A decade later, after Poitier had become a recognized international star, this film got reissued in Italy with a campaign focused on Poitier.
