[Los Angeles]: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1953. Set of five vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm) black-and-white photos. Two with stamp on verso of a 1950s film poster exchange, one with stamp “RETURN THIS PHOTO AFTER PUBLICATION”, and one with mimeographed cast list. Old photo agency stickers on verso. Near fine or better.

Dorothy Dandridge and Harry Belafonte starred in this film about a teacher (Dandridge) and a principal (Belafonte) in an elementary school in rural Alabama. This was Dandridge’s first starring role in a feature film and Belafonte’s film debut.
