The outdoor shot of Don Van Vliet with cigarette was done as promotion for Straight Records, for whom Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band recorded the Trout Mask Replica album. He soon after began a long-term relationship with Warner Brothers Records. The double weight photo also looks to be from ca. late-1960s.
