Carl Jung (1875-1961) was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist who founded analytical psychology. He was a prolific author and illustrator who studied many cultures to understand the human psyche. Jung’s theories and concepts, like “introversion” and “extroversion”, have influenced psychology, psychiatry, art, literature, religion, and more. Jung’s ideas differed from his mentor and later rival, Sigmund Freud. (Wikipedia)

Blurb on verso indicates that Jung spends part of the year with patients and the rest writing and researching.
