$1,850.00

Np: Eagle Lion Films, 1950. Set of twenty-eight vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm) black-and-white photos. Poster exchange blindstamps at bottom right, all with 1950 date stamps on verso, a few with slight creases, overall just about fine or better.

Legendary athlete Jackie Robinson became the first African American to play in Major League baseball, when he broke the color line on April 15, 1947, and started at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers. This film was made soon after to capitalize on his new fame. Although Robinson was no actor, he was called upon to star as himself.

This extremely scarce set of photos contains precisely twenty-two showing Robinson, with 7 of him in uniform.
