[Los Angeles: Paramount Pictures, 1928]. Set of 5 vintage original 8 x 10″ (20 x 25 cm) black-and-white photos. Two have mimeographed text on verso, another has film’s title mimeographed on verso. One is a linen-backed keybook photo, two have title written in ink in blank bottom margin. One has a marginal chip at top right, overall very good+.

Josef von Sternberg’s gloomy romantic drama with George Bancroft, Betty Compson and Olga Baclanova is now considered one of the final classics of the silent film era.
