Rex Stout, the great mystery writer and creator of the Nero Wolfe character, was also a huge fan of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes fiction. Here he is seen with Charles Collingwood and Edgar Smith, both actors associated with Sherlock Holmes productions, as they admire a miniature representation of Holmes and Watson seated in Holmes’ chambers.
