Vintage original 22 x 28” (55 x 70 cm.) half sheet poster, USA. W. C. Fields, Carol Dempster, Alfred Lunt, dir: D. W. Griffith; The story of Professor Eustance McGargle who tours with a circus and is left with an infant girl when her mother, turned out by her family when she marries a performer, dies in child birth. He raises her to be a circus performer. When she falls for an aristocrat, her true lineage is revealed. W. C. Fields physical comedy was most apparent in silent films, but he oversized personality seemed to speak without dialogue. When sound was added, he became an even bigger film star. This same story became one of Fields finest talking film, POPPY in 1936.There are two pin holes at each of the four corners , on pin hole at center top blank white margin and three small pin holes along the bottom blank white margin. There are two small border tears near the bottom left corner and a bit of paper loss at the mid left blank white margin. Chip and small tear near top right corner. Light soil to the margins. Nice circus theme and graphics. VERY GOOD-FINE.
