BILLIE HOLIDAY / NEW ORLEANS (1947)
Sold
Two (2) vintage original 11 x 14″ (28 x 36 cm.) lobby cards nos. 3 and 4, USA. Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Arturo De Cordova, dir: Arthur Lubin; United Artists.
Card no. 4 is the only lobby card ever made to show the great Billie Holiday (who, in this film, plays the role of a maid who falls in love with trumpeter Armstrong) — she is the woman in the red hat to Armstrong’s left. And the great Louis is also in card no. 3. A bit of scattered staining and slight signs of use, VERY GOOD+.
