PINOCCHIO [1940] Lobby card

Walt Disney’s second animated feature and one of the most detailed and beautiful of all animated films, it is the story of the puppet who becomes a real boy. Finished and merchandised by Christmas 1939, the film waited for a 1940 premiere and release so as not to compete for the 1939 Academy awards dominated by Gone with the Wind. Pinocchio would win Oscars for Best Score and Best Song.

On this card, the evil Stromboli has trapped Pinocchio after he strayed off the correct path.
