Gone with the Wind. 1940. Script. [Los Angeles]: Selznick International, [1940]. Vintage original film script, mimeograph, brad bound, printed wrappers, 11 x 8 1/2″ (28 x 22 cm), [2], 256 pp. Slight mark left by old paper clip at extreme top of front wrapper and the very first page, else fine.

Includes typed signed letter from David O. Selznick to Jack Temple, then a student at Stanford who was writing a thesis on screenwriter Sidney Howard. Letter has diagonal creases, stains and a paper clip mark, overall very good or better. Also includes original mailing envelope with printed label of Selznick International Pictures. Many extensive tears, in fair condition.

This is a presentation script, one of a group Selznick printed up in 1940 after the film opened to great acclaim.
