Np, 1965. Two vintage original black-and-white photos:

  • One 7 3/8 x 9 5/8″ (19 x 24.5 cm) borderless United Press International photo, with UPI stamp and mimeographed text affixed on verso, light rippling, near fine. Photo of Thomas 15x Johnson, shown at police station on March 3, 1965, to be booked on charge of homicide in slaying of Malcolm X. Johnson became known as Khalil Islam. In 2021, Islam (as well as Muhammad Aziz) was exonerated after a re-investigation revealed that key evidence had been withheld from the defense and prosecution during his trial Admitted shooter Muhajid Abdul Halim had always maintained that Johnson was not involved.
  • One 9 x 7″ (23 x 18 cm) Associated Press photo. with mimeographed text and date stamp on verso. Some rippling, near fine. Photo shows the arrest of Reuben Francis on Feb 25, 1965, for the attempted murder of shooter Muhajid Abdul Halim on Feb 22, 1965.
