Vintage original 9 x 7″ (24 x 18 cm.) black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, UK. Newly-married Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller arrive at London Airport and greet photographers. Monroe was about to start production with Laurence Olivier at Pinewood Studios for the film The Prince and the Showgirl. Made by Monroe’s production company, there was a plan to make the stage play a musical. It was Miller who persuaded Monroe and company to drop the songs.

The photo with original attached typed text blurb was first used by the London Express (ink stamp present) and was then later used by Pictorial Parade in New York City, their label also attached to the verso. Borderless print has minor handling only, ABOUT FINE.
