MY FAIR LADY (1964) Audrey Hepburn exclusive

Vintage original 10 x 13″ (25 x 32 cm.) black-and-white double weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, USA. Audrey Hepburn, Rex Harrison, Stanley Holloway, Gladys Cooper, Jeremy Brett, dir: George Cukor; Warner Brothers. Oversize portrait of Audrey Hepburn as flower girl Eliza Doolittle delivering the song “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly.” The portrait is likely photographed by Cecil Beaton, though his stamp is not present. The stamp “Warner Bros. Exclusive” is present, however, making this a special one-time use only image for the original 1964 publicity campaign.
The famous musical based on George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalionis now a film classic and has always been a crowd pleaser, no more than in 1964 when it won the top Academy Awards, including for Picture, Actor, Director, Costume, Sound, Music and Cinematography. Rich density to the image and only most minor signs of handling. FINE.
