In this Sherlock Holmes mystery, Holmes and Watson are hired to escort an heir to a royal throne, whose father has just been assassinated aboard a ship full of assassins plotting against the heir. Filmed on Little Europe Street at Universal’s backlot, the script included a number of references to mysteries in Sir Conan Doyle’s books. It was the twelfth of the 14 Sherlock Holmes films.
